Lahore: The hearing will be held today on the petitions against the discharge of interim bails in 3 cases of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the details, a 2-member bench will hear the petitions against the cancellation of interim bails in 3 cases of founder PTI in the Lahore High Court today. Barrister Salman Safdar, the founder PTI’s lawyer, filed the petitions.
In the petitions, it was requested that the former Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Anti-Terrorism Court dismissed the interim bails. In three cases of May 9 arson, false positives were rejected.
The petitions requested the court to grant interim bail. And set aside the trial court’s decision on interim bail.
It should be noted that there are cases of arson and encirclement in Lahore’s Jinnah House, Askari Tower and Shadman Police Station against the founder PTI. On July 6, the Anti-Terrorism Court rejected the bails of PTI founder in 3 cases after the arguments of the lawyers were completed.
ATC Judge Khalid Arshad, while issuing a 4-page written judgment, said that 2 government witnesses had stated that a meeting was held at Zaman Park on May 7 at 5 pm. In which PTI founder expressed fear of arrest in Islamabad High Court on May 9. Directed that if the founder of PTI is arrested, the workers should be gathered under the leadership of Dr. Yasmin Rashid.
According to the written decision of the court, it was decided in the meeting that the government will be put under pressure by attacking military installations and government buildings upon arrest.
According to the decision, at the time of departure to Islamabad on May 9, the founder of PTI gave a video statement that if he is arrested, the situation in the country will become like that of Sri Lanka. The prosecution submitted the transcript of the PTI founder’s video messages in the court.
