ISLAMABAD: Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Secretary General of Tehreek-e-Insaf Omar Ayub has demanded that the government immediately announce the name of the new Chief Justice.
Umar Ayub, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, while addressing the meeting, said that the government should immediately announce the name of the new Chief Justice in the current situation. If any legislation is made in this regard, we will strongly protest.
Umar Ayub thanked the speaker for issuing the production order of Haji Imtiaz Chaudhry and inviting him to the meeting and said that this is a very good tradition for which I want to praise Ayaz Sadiq.
He said that he condemns the terrorist activities in the Kacha region of Punjab. The IG Punjab Police should be dismissed over the incident.
The opposition leader announced that Tehreek-e-Insaf will hold a rally on September 8 with great fanfare.
Earlier, speaking to the media after the parliamentary party meeting, the opposition leader Umar Ayub said that the situation in Balochistan should be discussed in the House. As an opposition leader, I condemn the incidents of terrorism.
He said that the attitude of the government is not serious and our voice is being suppressed. When the opposition is crushed, there will be fascism, not democracy. Despite the situation in the country, there is no discussion in the meeting. When the government does not listen to the voice of the people, lawlessness will increase.
Umar Ayub said that there was a Supreme Court hearing, so he canceled the meeting. Founder PTI warned that they are canceling the rally for the last time. The 8th September meeting will be held as per the NOC we have.
