Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, while explaining the talks between the government and the opposition, has said that neither the opposition nor the government has contacted to call a meeting of the negotiation committees.
In his statement, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that the government has to arrange a meeting of the PTI negotiation committee with the founder of PTI Imran Khan, it is not my responsibility.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the government and the allies should decide whether the meeting can take place or not.
He said that the parties are ready to call a meeting on a notice of one or two days whenever they want.
The Speaker of the National Assembly said that he had spoken to Asad Qaiser on January 4 over the phone, in which he had made it clear that the demand for a meeting with the founder of PTI has been conveyed to the government.
He said that he can also talk directly to PTI leader, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah and other dignitaries of the government.
It should be noted that earlier, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah had said that the meeting of his party leaders with the founder PTI imprisoned in Adiala Jail could not be held due to the fact that Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq was abroad.
The Prime Minister’s Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah had said yesterday that there may be a possibility of transferring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan somewhere due to security or health issues.
Addressing a ceremony in Sialkot this morning, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had said that there is no pressure for Imran Khan’s release, every tactic of PTI to harm the country has failed, economic indicators are improving.
Khawaja Asif had clarified that the government has not made any offer to transfer Imran Khan from jail to Bani Gala or anywhere else, and there is no truth in PTI’s claim in this regard.
