Islamabad: The first parliamentary year of the 16th National Assembly, consisting of 144 days, has been completed. A total of 93 sittings were held during the 13 sessions of the National Assembly. The proceedings of the House continued for 247 hours and 23 minutes. 47 laws and 26 resolutions, including the 26th Amendment, were passed.
During this period, Nawaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz had the least attendance, attending only 5 days. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended 11 times, and the attendance ratio of Opposition Leader Omar Ayub was the highest. The government was busy with legislation and the opposition was protesting. Political issues dominated public issues.
