The bank balance of the current richest cricketing body in the world, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI), has reached Rs 20,686 crore.
According to media reports, the bank balance of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has increased by Rs 4,200 crore in 2024, taking the total to Rs 20,686 crore (i.e. more than Rs 67,651 crore in Pakistani rupees).
A large part of the BCCI’s income comes from the sale of media rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and bilateral series.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also given the largest share of the income received from the International Cricket Council, followed by England, Australia and then Pakistan.
In June 2022, the Indian Board sold the media rights of the IPL for a period of 5 years for Rs 48,390 crore.

The BCCI is expected to earn Rs 10,540 crore in the next financial year, against a budget of Rs 2,348 crore. Out of this income, the board also pays a hefty amount as annual grants to all 38 states.
