LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz created a unique record of her own style by holding a 7-hour long meeting on planning and development.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reviewed the progress on 77 initiatives, 70 projects, 7 programs.
Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb while giving a briefing to Chief Minister Punjab said that 28 meetings of PDWP were held. 287 public welfare schemes were considered in the province. 206 special measures of the Chief Minister were also considered.
A detailed review of progress in various sectors including agriculture, meteorology, IT, social welfare in the province was reviewed.
278 billion rupees have been allocated for development schemes while 83 billion rupees have been released. Monitoring is being introduced through advanced technology, drones and GIS mapping. Progress on projects will be ensured with clear timelines.
The current status of the projects and their completion dates were reviewed in the meeting.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that she will not compromise on the transparency, speed and quality of implementation of public welfare projects.
