Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced the postponement of today’s meeting in Islamabad.
Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar has said in a press conference that the political committee of PTI decided to postpone the meeting today, now the meeting will be held after Ashura day.
He said that we have always resorted to the law, we have filed a petition in the High Court against not allowing the rally, our workers were hopeful for the rally, our rally was for upholding the law.
He said that after the order of the court, the DC gave the notification of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner does not have the authority to suspend the notification on the direction of the High Court.
He said that the letter on the basis of which the notification was suspended should have been presented in the High Court.
Barrister Gohar said that no political process can be completed without PTI founder Imran Khan, we are all trying to uphold the constitution and law.
Speaking on the occasion, Umar Ayuba said that the Islamabad administration had given permission for today’s rally, the police came at night and sealed the rally area.
