The Lahore High Court has issued a notice to Deputy Commissioner Lahore in the case of non-implementation of the court order related to the rally of Tehreek-e-Insaf on September 21.
Justice Farooq Haider heard the case on behalf of Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Central Punjab Akmal Khan Bari against the Deputy Commissioner for contempt of court.
In the matter of Tehreek-e-Insaf holding a meeting in Lahore on September 21, the court issued a notice to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore to reply within 8 days.
In the petition filed by Akmal Khan Bari, it was said that the Deputy Commissioner has not yet informed about the venue of the meeting despite court orders.
According to the petitioner, it is the constitutional and democratic right of PTI to hold a peaceful meeting in Lahore.
