KARACHI: Sri Lanka has got the coveted record of most failures in T20 international cricket.
The Islanders suffered a whitewash in the recent 3-match series against India, taking the team’s tally to 105 in the series, the highest in the history of international cricket.
In this regard, the Bangladesh team has now reached the second position with 104 failures, the West Indies are third with 101 failures and the Zimbabwean team, who have lost 99 times, is at the fourth position.
During the series against India, the Sri Lankan team also appeared to be suffering from the new disease of being overwhelmed in the closing overs, losing 9 wickets for 30 runs in the last 5.2 overs in the first match.
During the last 5 overs of the second and third matches, 7 and 7 wickets fell for 31 and 29 runs respectively.
Interestingly, the Sri Lankan team has forgotten to win against India, they have lost 10 matches in a row against India so far in all formats.
