Quetta: Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and head of the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ain Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has said that today the world has turned into a global village, especially with regard to information, where there is consensus on different values, principles and laws among different states and nations, including animal rights.
However, occupying the resources of weak and subordinate nations, interfering in their territory, and shedding the blood of innocent people for their nefarious purposes continues.
He expressed these views while delivering the inaugural address to the Awami Jirga, representing Zhob Division, in light of the decisions of the two-day Pashtun National Jirga in Zhob.
Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that today a new series of killings and destruction has begun in the entire Pashtun homeland, military operations have neither yielded positive results in the past nor have any prospects for it in the future.
He said that the country has been broken once as a result of military operations, because the solution to political problems is not military operations, but political negotiations and constitutional supremacy. He criticized the current parliament, saying that it has become a haven for smugglers and black money collectors.
