Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah sought help from Russia to restore the steel mill as a profitable enterprise.
Russian Ambassador Albert Khuraif met the Chief Minister in Karachi. During the meeting, the Sindh Chief Minister said that there is good coordination with the Russian Consul General, relations with Russia are getting better and better.
He said that we want to strengthen relations with Russia on health, education and culture. During the time of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Russia had installed a steel mill in Karachi. We want to restore the steel mill which Russian Embassy to help.
On this occasion, the Russian ambassador said that next week experts from Russia and Pakistan will discuss the restoration of the steel mill online, after the online discussion the Russian delegation will visit the steel mill.
The Chief Minister of Sindh suggested that it would be better if a new steel mill plant is set up, the running of the steel mill will stabilize the economy and increase employment.
Sindh Chief Minister said that steel mill is the gift of Shaheed Bhutto to the people of Sindh which we want to run, the problem of steel mill employees who are very worried will also be solved.
According to the report, the Chief Minister of Sindh and the ambassador of Russia agreed to increase bilateral trade. The statement issued by the spokesperson of the Chief Minister of Sindh said that during the meeting, they discussed about bringing Russian electric buses to Karachi.
According to the statement, the Chief Minister of Sindh agreed to continue the dialogue with the Russian companies through the diplomatic channel. Russian Ambassador Albert Khoreev said that the Russian government wants to increase the cultural heritage by establishing a cultural center in Sindh.
