Karachi: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that it is the responsibility of every institution in the country to uphold the constitution approved by the parliament.
In a statement, Sharjeel Memon said that it is the responsibility of the parliament to make the constitution and enact legislation. According to the Constitution of Pakistan, the parliament is the supreme institution.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has made it clear that the Pakistan Peoples Party will protect the constitution. The PPP believes in the supremacy of the constitution in Pakistan.
He said that President Asif Ali Zardari strengthened and stabilized the parliament in his first term of office. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari transferred his presidential powers to the parliament.
Sharjeel Inam Memon further said that President Asif Ali Zardari stabilized the parliament and democracy. The struggle for the stability of democracy and the strengthening of the parliament has been the history of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
