He said that before 2008, Pakistan used to import wheat and after that it started exporting, foreign exchange will be lost by importing wheat, President Zardari has made a coherent policy for wheat, the federal government should talk to the IMF for subsidy because the support price of wheat has been stopped due to IMF conditions.
Reacting to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s speech yesterday, he said that Bilawal’s words seem strange to Punjab, the Punjab Chief Minister said how can a self-reliant person appeal for assistance? Bilawal had appealed for help from international organizations, the Punjab Chief Minister’s remarks were not inappropriate, is the one making the appeal not self-reliant? It is wrong to say so.
Sharjeel Memon said that the PPP is not doing politics on the flood, whenever Bilawal praises the Prime Minister, the Punjab government feels hurt, Bilawal had also addressed the BISP issue to the Prime Minister and not the Punjab government, when we talk to the federal government, the Punjab government objects.
