During the English County Championship, former Bangladesh captain and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan’s bowling action was called suspicious.
According to media reports, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has called Bangladeshi star Shakib-ul-Hasan to review his bowling action.
The Bangladeshi spinner’s action was reported in the match against Somerset, representing Surrey in the English county.
The incident occurred when Shakib Al Hasan took 9 wickets during the match, the last time he participated in the English County Championship after the 2010-11 season. Later, on his return after 13 years, his action was questioned.
Despite Shakib’s brilliant performance, Surrey couldn’t beat Somerset, suffering a dramatic defeat by 111 runs. The Bangladeshi cricketer bowled more than 63 overs in the match.
