Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s Awam Pakistan Party has been allotted the election symbol Gharial.
The Awam Pakistan Party had submitted the results of the intra-party election to the Election Commission, which recognized their intra-party elections and allotted the election symbol.
It should be noted that after the February 8, 2024 elections, 6 new political parties were registered with the Election Commission, including Balochistan National Alliance, Pakistan Awami Qutb, Pakistan Khidmat Khalq League, Technology Movement Pakistan and Pakhtunkhwa Awami National Party.
In 2025, the first political party, Awam Pakistan Party, was registered by the Election Commission, after which the number of political parties registered with the Election Commission has increased to 168.
