LAHORE: In order to maintain law and order during Muharram, Punjab Home Department has called for the services of Army and Rangers to assist the police.
According to the spokesperson of Punjab Home Department, the services of 150 companies of Army and Rangers have been requested for the province as a whole. According to the requirement of different districts, services were sought during 1st to 12th Muharram.
A letter was written to deploy 69 companies of Army and 81 companies of Rangers across Punjab to assist in security as requested by Punjab Police.
