Lahore: Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi revealed that the selection committee is reviewing the Champions Trophy squad, according to him, the problem of Emirati visas for Pakistanis has been resolved, accreditation or match ticket holders will get visas.
According to the details, while talking to the media informally in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi said that the selection committee is reviewing the Champions Trophy squad, the selectors have the authority to make any changes or not, Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf were made part of the squad with good intentions.
He said that Pakistanis will no longer have any difficulty in getting a UAE visa, whoever has a Champions Trophy match ticket or accreditation card will be issued a visa. We will talk to PIA for chartered flights, a deal for match passes has been reached with the ICC, we will take the agreed amount from them.
The chairman said that the construction of the new five-star hotel at Gaddafi Stadium will be completed in the next one year, after the Champions Trophy, the building of the National Cricket Academy Lahore will be demolished and redesigned, and the training ground will be expanded.
He said that the Gaddafi Stadium VIP boxes will be rented for 6 years, the price of each box will be kept at Rs 100 million, some of the 24 boxes will be rented series by series, while others will be rented for some period.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the Champions Trophy ceremony on February 16 is an official ceremony of the ICC, the council has invited personalities from different countries to it, Mohsin Naqvi said that a new stadium will be built in a prime location in Islamabad.
