The Islamabad High Court has sought a response from the government for not removing the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul from the travel ban list.
A contempt of court case was heard in the Islamabad High Court for not removing Zartaj Gul’s name from the travel ban list despite the court order. The public prosecutor told the court that an FIR has been registered against Zartaj Gul in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Zartaj Gul’s lawyer said that bail has been confirmed in this case. We have also filed a separate application for confirmation of bail in this FIR. Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri said that the bail has been confirmed in this case on September 5. The public prosecutor told the court that I take instructions in this regard. He would have gone to the Lahore High Court regarding the Punjab FIR.
Zartaj Gul said that if they don’t give me a passport, how will I travel? 4 secret cases have been registered against me. I am an elected member of the assembly, I have the right to go wherever I want. They file a secret FIR and put the name on the travel ban list.
