A notification has been issued for the implementation of Section 144 in Karachi and Islamabad.
According to the notification, Section 144 has been imposed in Karachi for 7 days and a ban will be imposed on gatherings of more than 5 people. No protests or sit-ins will be allowed in Shahr-e-Quaid from November 18 to 24.
The notification states that protests and rallies are banned as part of security measures on the occasion of the Defense Exhibition Ideas 2024.
On the other hand, a ban has been imposed on the gathering of 5 or more people under Section 144 in the capital city.
Issuing a notification, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad said that any kind of religious and political gathering has been banned under Section 144.
