Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 68 runs in the second ODI.
In the second match of the series played in Sharjah, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 252 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Captain Najamul Hussain Shanto scored 76 runs on behalf of Bangladesh. Soumya Sarkar 35, Naseem Ahmed 25, Tanzeed Hasan 22, Mehdi Hasan Miraz 22, Tawheed Haridoy 11 and Muhammadullah 3 were out.
Zakir Ali scored 37 runs and Tasin Ahmad returned to the pavilion not out by scoring 2 runs.
On behalf of Afghanistan, Ningyalia Khorote took 3 wickets while Rashid Khan and AM Ghazanfar took 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
Chasing the target, the Afghanistan team was bowled out for 184 runs in the 44th over.
Rehmat Shah scored 52 runs. Siddiqueullah Atal 39, Gulbuddin Naib 26, Mohammad Nabi 17, Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi 17, Rashid Khan 14, Nengialya Khorte 4, Rehmanullah Garbaz 2, AM Ghazanfar 1 and Azmatullah Umarzai 0 runs were dismissed.
On behalf of Bangladesh, Naseem Ahmed took 3 wickets, Mehdi Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rehman took 2, 2 wickets while Tasin Ahmed and Sariful Islam took 1 and 1 wicket respectively.
