Mumbai: Baahubali superstar Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s new sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898AD’ has been cleared by the Indian Censor Board.
The mega budget and mega cast movie is eagerly awaited by the fans and will be released worldwide on June 27.
According to Indian media, Censor Board’s Hyderabad office has issued a ‘YA’ certificate for the film and the duration of the film is 180 minutes 56 seconds, making it the longest film of Prabhas’ career.
Indian media has claimed from its sources that the budget of the film has reached 600 crore Indian rupees, which is a new record for any Indian film.
In a recent interview, Prabhas said that the film has been made keeping in mind the global audience and has roped in some of the best artists in the industry, which has led to a bigger budget.
The first glimpse of the film, based on the story of a thousand years after the destruction of the world, was revealed at the Comic-Con festival in America.
The mega film was earlier titled ‘Project K’ and will also feature legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in action.
