Russia has canceled the proposed football match with the Pakistan team, which was scheduled to be played on October 11 in the international football window.
The Russian Football Union has confirmed the cancellation of the match and said that due to the current conditions and lack of time, this match cannot be held.
Earlier, the Pakistan Football Federation had already apologized for the match due to lack of time, but the Pakistan Sports Board announced to send a team to Russia.
The Sports Board had formed a team consisting of Islamabad Football Association players and had also completed the travel arrangements for the team.
The team did not have the status of Pakistan’s national team as the Pakistan Football Federation did not sanction the team.
According to sources, the Russian football authorities decided to cancel the match this afternoon and the Pakistan Sports Board was informed about it.
