Karachi: The Sindh Assembly passed a resolution to pay homage to the martyrs of Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD).
During the question period, water shortage in Karachi and job quota were also discussed. The Sindh Assembly session started with a delay of 35 minutes under the chairmanship of Speaker Owais Qadir Shah.
Answering the questions of the opposition leader Ali Soharri, Qarat-ul-Ain, Muhammad Dilawar, Adil Askari and other members regarding public health engineering, Minister of Local Government, Housing Town Planning, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development Sindh Saeed Ghani said that public health in Eastern District There is no health engineering scheme and what the opposition member has pointed out is the Karsaz bypass scheme, that scheme is of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation.
He said that Public Health Engineering Department, Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation and Hyderabad cannot work in the areas managed by WASA. He said that water distribution, lining, underground tank and electricity supply schemes are included under public health engineering. When asked about the role of public health engineering in the K4 project, Saeed Ghani said that in this project, Karachi A function of the Water and Sewerage Corporation and the Irrigation Department, Public Health Engineering has no role to play in this.
Saeed Ghani also gave a detailed reply on the Islamkot Mega RO Plant. In the meeting, People’s Party member Ghulam Qadir Chandio presented a resolution to pay homage to the martyrs of MRD.
