TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has warned Hamas that if the Israeli hostages are not released, it may face dire consequences.
According to a foreign news agency, the Israeli Prime Minister directly addressed Hamas during his speech in the Israeli parliament and said that if the hostages are not released, something you cannot even imagine will happen.
Netanyahu said that he is making full preparations for war in the future, praising Donald Trump’s foresight regarding Gaza and expressing his full support for it.
The first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement ended on Saturday, after which Israel had temporarily extended the ceasefire on the condition that Hamas release the remaining hostages without starting the second phase of the ceasefire.
But Hamas rejected this demand and insisted on a second phase of the ceasefire.
During Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech in parliament, the families of the hostages protested vigorously, during which there was a clash between security officials and the families of the hostages.
According to a foreign news agency, in the first phase of the ceasefire, Hamas handed over 25 Israeli hostages and 8 bodies to the Israeli authorities, while the Israelis released 1,800 Palestinian prisoners.
