70 people were killed in an attack by rebel forces on a Saudi hospital in Sudan’s Darfur region.
The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement that rebel forces targeted the Saudi Teaching Maternity Hospital. So far, 70 people have been confirmed dead in the attack. The Saudi Teaching Hospital was the only hospital operating in the entire region, which was destroyed in the attack. After the hospital attack, a large area will face a major crisis in terms of medical facilities.
According to Sudanese officials, targeting the hospital is part of a series of attacks by rebel forces. The rebels have attacked various places and areas, including oil installations. There is a risk that the death toll in the hospital attack will increase.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the attack on the hospital in Sudan. The Saudi Foreign Ministry says that the attack on the hospital is a clear violation of international law.
