Popular Tamil film Pushpa actor Allu Arjun has been arrested by Hyderabad police. The famous Telugu film star has been arrested in connection with the stampede that killed a 39-year-old woman and seriously injured her son in Hyderabad.
The tragic incident took place on December 4, in which a 39-year-old woman died and her son was seriously injured.
The police had registered a case against the theatre management, Allu Arjun and his security team over the incident, after which the actor has now been arrested. The police said that they were not given any prior information about the presence of the actor and his team at the film premiere.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Hyderabad Police, Akshanesh Yadav, while talking to Indian media, said that a case was registered under BNS sections 105 and 118 on the complaint of the victim’s family at the police station. He said that the investigation is ongoing and strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for the incident.
It should be noted that after the arrest, Allu Arjun will be produced before the magistrate today.
