Rawalpindi, Islamabad: PTI has announced to hold a rally despite the cancellation of NOC by the district administration. has been given.

The district administration had suddenly canceled the permit regarding the Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Tarnool rally yesterday, after which the PTI had announced to hold the rally in any case, in this context from tonight, including the motorway. All roads leading to Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been blocked with containers and other barriers, while holidays have also been declared for schools.

Due to the closure of the road, the citizens had to face problems since early morning, while long queues of vehicles were formed due to the lack of access at many places.

It should be noted that the Rawalpindi administration was of the opinion that the visiting team is present in Rawalpindi due to the Pak-Bangla Test series, the rally cannot be allowed due to security concerns. Apart from this, the Punjab government also imposed Section 144 across the province yesterday, under which a ban was imposed on meetings, rallies and sit-ins. The application of this three-day ban began today, August 22.

In view of the rally and political convoys, the red zone has been sealed by the Islamabad administration and a holiday has been announced on August 22 for public and private schools. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad decided to keep the schools closed in the context of the situation and said that it has been decided to close the schools in view of the safety of the children.

On the other hand, according to the spokesperson Education Board, the ongoing matric supplementary exam papers will be as usual. Today, Thursday, August 22, the paper will also be as usual. There are only 6 examination centers in Rawalpindi for matric supplementary examinations

Apart from this, the metro service has also been suspended today, Thursday, August 22, and the security of bus stations has been increased.

In view of possible protests in the federal capital and Punjab, the Rawalpindi police have erected barricades on the central highways. The highway has been blocked from both sides by placing containers near Sawan on the GT road. Similarly, barriers have been erected on Sixth Road and no one is being allowed to come towards Faizabad.

The highway is also closed near T Chowk Rawat. Faizabad to Islamabad route has also been closed. The highway has also been closed at the location of the carriage factory. The National Highway is blocked from Rawat Chak Belli Mor Mandira and other places. Vehicles of government and educational institutions are going back due to road block.

Earlier Pak-Bangla Test match is also going on, in this regard the teams have been brought to the stadium by different routes.
