Lahore: Peoples Party Central Punjab President and former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf says that PTI should not have high hopes from talks with the government.
The start of talks between the PPP and the PML-N is a good omen, his party is holding talks with the PML-N to gain some powers in Punjab.
He claimed that the PML-N has agreed to his demand that he be included in development committees, boards and authorities in those divisions where the PPP has a majority.
He said these things while holding a press conference in Lahore. Raja Pervaiz Ashraf clarified that the PPP supported the PML-N in forming the government to save the country.
The PPP will continue to support the government unconditionally for the continuity of the system.
The PPP has objected to imposing taxes on farmers. He said that the PTI has come to know the reality of talks with political parties.
Both sides should sit in the talks with an open mind, but the PTI should not have high hopes from the negotiation process.
He said, without mentioning PTI founder Imran Khan, that the cases against his leaders cannot be ended by an executive order.
