Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should also fulfill its passion for civil disobedience.
Speaking on Hum News’ program “Hum Dekhenge”, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that in 2014, Nawaz Sharif had spoken for Aafia Siddiqui in America. Politicians in America also have different opinions. Whereas America needs political leaders and then it disappears.
He said that we do not need anyone’s support in our regional affairs. And we have to give importance to our internal interests. Pakistan has very good relations with America. And the change of government in America does not change much in foreign policy.
Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan has always been very important to America. And we got approval from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with the help of America.
He said that the Prime Minister walked into the House and went to the opposition. And he used to say that we will not negotiate with thieves. While no formal offer for talks has come from PTI.
Talking about the talks with PTI, he said that there has been a big change in the policy of PTI regarding the talks. They go to the Speaker and want talks somewhere at the level of Parliament. And there has been a change in the policy of PTI, but take this first step. The PTI people have not got henna on their feet, they go to the Speaker and want talks somewhere.
The Defense Minister said that you want everything to end at once, which cannot happen. They should also fulfill their passion for the civil disobedience movement.
