Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced to file a writ in Peshawar High Court against the sentences given to civilians by military courts.
Party leader Ali Zaman Advocate said that Insaf Lawyer Forum will file a writ in Peshawar High Court, the sentences given to workers in military courts have been wrong, they will file a writ on the request of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur.
He said that these decisions will be declared null and void and those sentenced will be released soon, there is an appeal to the nation to pray for the early release of all leaders and workers imprisoned in jails, Peshawar: Insaf Lawyer Forum will also file writs in Peshawar, Islamabad and Punjab.
It should be noted that in recent days, military courts have sentenced 85 people involved in the violent incidents of May 9, 2023. Cases of protest, vandalism, and arson were registered against these convicted individuals after Imran Khan’s arrest last year.
