MADINAH: The administration of the Prophet’s Mosque has released the latest figures on the arrival of pilgrims from around the world who visited the Holy Shrine of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
According to the figures, more than 1.486 million pilgrims from all over the world visited the Prophet’s Mosque and the Holy Shrine of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the first three months of the Islamic year.
The largest number of them came from Indonesia, from where 449 thousand 696 pilgrims traveled to the Prophet’s Mosque to perform Umrah.
287 thousand 793 pilgrims from Pakistan visited the Prophet’s Mosque, while 179 thousand 52 from India, 122 thousand 557 from Iraq and 76 thousand 940 pilgrims from Bangladesh also visited the Prophet’s Mosque.
The number of pilgrims has increased significantly during this year’s Umrah season.
The management of the Prophet’s Mosque says that the health and safety arrangements for the pilgrims have been fully ensured so that they can perform their prayers in a comfortable and safe environment.
The management emphasized that special measures have been taken in these arrangements to provide better guidance and convenience to the pilgrims coming to the Prophet’s Mosque.
This initiative is important for the millions of pilgrims coming from different regions of the Islamic world, so that they can complete their spiritual journey in a better way and benefit fully from the blessings of the Prophet’s Mosque.
