ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Al-Badzikian in New York, in which the Prime Minister called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
The Prime Minister and the Iranian President met on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two leaders reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations and emphasized the need for further strengthening of good neighborly relations as well as mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of promoting bilateral trade and investment, improving ties and cultural ties with Iran.
In the meeting, Iran-Pakistan commitment to further strengthen mutual support and partnership was also reiterated.
