Prime Minister to present Pakistan’s position by attending high-level meeting of Global Development Initiative.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will represent Pakistan at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly today.
Along with attending the formal opening ceremony of the session today, Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the special summit of Arab and Islamic countries hosted by the United States and Qatar, in which many world leaders including US President Donald Trump will be present.
The Prime Minister has been specially invited to this meeting.
The Prime Minister’s schedule is very busy during this visit, where he will meet Austrian Chancellor Christina Stocker, Kuwaiti Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, World Bank President Ajay Banga and IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
Discussions on economic cooperation, investment and development measures are expected to take place in these meetings.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also attend a high-level meeting of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) where he will present Pakistan’s position and address development goals.
