Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the difficulties in supplying gas during Sehar and Iftar during the month of Ramadan and directed immediate steps to be taken.
The Prime Minister held an emergency meeting late at night in this regard, in which the issues of gas supply during Sehar and Iftar were discussed in detail with the managing directors and senior management of Sui companies.
On the instructions of the Prime Minister, Sui Southern Gas Company has decided to immediately increase the gas pressure by 10 percent.
In addition, gas supply will be started 30-45 minutes before Sehar and Iftar times in the areas located at the ends of the gas distribution centers, which will improve the gas pressure in these areas.
Sui Southern Gas Company has also announced the establishment of control rooms in the head office and regional offices to monitor the gas distribution system, which will review the gas supply situation on a daily basis.
A company spokesperson said that complaints of low gas pressure will be resolved on an emergency basis, and a report will be submitted on a daily basis in this regard.
