ISLAMABAD: Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim left for Malaysia after completing his three-day visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan Aliani bid farewell to Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim and his delegation from Noor Khan Air Base.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that there are long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia that span decades, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia agreed to further strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia relations. The Prime Minister of Malaysia is an admirer of Allama Iqbal, who is Pakistan It is a matter of pride.
The Prime Minister said that he is deeply grateful for the kind words and good wishes of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datu Sri Anwar Ibrahim, for the Pakistani people and government. Promotion of trade with Malaysia will increase domestic exports and create new employment opportunities.
The visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Pakistan proved to be the beginning of a new chapter in Pakistan-Malaysia relations. Memorandums of understanding and agreements were exchanged between the two countries for the promotion of trade and investment.
Exports of processed meat and rice from Pakistan to Malaysia will be increased and procedures will be simplified, cooperation in information technology between the two countries and increased production and trade of electric vehicles will also be agreed.
During the visit, the Prime Minister of Malaysia met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House Islamabad where he was given a grand welcome.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim also participated in the Pakistan Malaysia Business Forum. The Prime Minister of Malaysia was also awarded Nishan Pakistan by the President of Pakistan.
