ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met the newly elected president of Oxford Union, Israr Khan Kakar, from Pakistan, at the famous University of Oxford, UK.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed Asrar Khan Kakar at the Prime Minister House and appreciated Asrar Khan Kakar for making Pakistan’s name known abroad. He said that talented youth like Asrar Kakar are the guarantors of sustainable and bright future of Pakistan.
While talking to Asrar Khan Kakar, the Prime Minister said that his contesting the election of the president of Oxford Union and becoming a leader is a reflection of his steadfastness and unshakable determination. The name of the country will continue to shine at the international level.
The Prime Minister said that it is a matter of pride for a young man from a backward area of Balochistan to get scholarships in all stages of his education through tireless efforts and finally to be elected as the president of a prestigious organization like Oxford Union. Pakistan Education Endowment Fund has been established, thanks to which children from poor families will be able to get higher education, 20% quota has been allocated for the youth of Balochistan in Pakistan Education Endowment Fund.
Asrar Khan Kakar also invited the Prime Minister to address the Oxford Union. He lauded the Prime Minister for his initiatives to empower the youth and provide them equal development opportunities.
Asrar Khan said that all the youth of Pakistan, including me, are ready to do all kinds of services for the development and prosperity of Pakistan.
