TEHRAN: Ali Larijani, a senior advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, has said that Iran is preparing to respond to Israeli attacks on October 26.
In an interview with a local media outlet, Larijani said that Iranian military officials are currently working on various plans and strategies to respond forcefully to Israeli attacks.
Larijani added that Hezbollah commanders in Syria and Lebanon are in high spirits, and that the Israeli army has not been able to advance in southern Lebanon due to Hezbollah’s fierce resistance.
He rejected Israel’s claim that Hezbollah’s weapons have been destroyed, calling it speculation.
Earlier, on October 26, Israel carried out airstrikes to target Iranian military targets, after which Iran threatened to respond strongly to these attacks.
Ali Larijani’s rhetoric indicates that Iran is ready to further strengthen its defensive measures against Israel and is pursuing a strategy of responding to Israeli attacks.
