The polling process for the by-elections has started in 17 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, polling will continue till 5 pm.
By-elections are being held in Swat, Mansehra, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Shangla, Lower Dir, Bajaur, Buner, Kirk, Mansehra, Kohat, Nowshera and Lucky Marwat.
The Election Commission says that the number of registered voters for the by-elections is 345 thousand 604, 260 polling stations have been established.
Police say that more than 6,500 personnel have been deployed for the by-elections, while more than 800 personnel have been deployed in Peshawar.
