The Peshawar High Court has suspended the February 4 announcement of NAB, stopping the transfer of Director Investigation NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the order, the petitioner is posted as Director Investigation in NAB KP. The petitioner has challenged the appointment of DG NAB in the High Court. After challenging the appointment of DG NAB, the petitioner was transferred from KP to NAB Rawalpindi. Another inquiry was initiated against the petitioner on February 4.
According to the short order, on January 30, the court had restrained the parties from taking disciplinary action against the petitioner. Despite the court order, the parties transferred the petitioner to NAB Rawalpindi on February 4.
According to the petitioner’s lawyer, disciplinary action was taken against the petitioner despite the court orders. NAB lawyers told the court that the petitioner has taken charge of his post in Rawalpindi. The parties, ignoring the court orders, transferred the petitioner and also started an inquiry. The transfer notification of February 4 is suspended.
According to the order, the petitioner should be allowed to work in NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The parties should not issue the final decision of the ongoing inquiry against the petitioner until the next hearing.
