Lahore: Tehreek-e-Insaf’s petition against the implementation of Section 144 in Punjab has been scheduled for hearing in the Lahore High Court.
Lahore High Court Justice Shehbaz Rizvi will hear the petition of PTI Deputy Secretary General Punjab Zubair Kisana. In the petition, legal questions have been raised on the implementation of Section 144.
According to the petitioner, Section 144 has been imposed deliberately to restrict political activities. Tehreek-e-Insaf announced a protest on July 26 and the Punjab government imposed Section 144. It is the fundamental right of every political party to protest. It is requested from the court that the Punjab government’s notification of implementation of Section 144 should be declared null and void.
