Islamabad: The court has summoned the Attorney General of Pakistan for assistance on a petition against the PECA Act.
The hearing on the petition against the PECA Act Amendment 2025 was held in the Islamabad High Court, in which the court summoned the Attorney General of Pakistan for assistance.
Petitioner lawyer Adil Aziz Qazi appeared in the hearing before Justice Inam Amin Minhas.
During the hearing, Justice Inam Amin Minhas of the Islamabad High Court remarked that there are other such petitions, on which the same order is passed. Later, the court adjourned the hearing.
It should be noted that PFUJ, Islamabad High Court Journalists Association and other petitions are also under hearing in this regard. The court has fixed April 17 for hearing of all three petitions.
