Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon says that people only like to see the children of superstars, in which the media also plays a big role because the media also focuses only on them.
Recently, Kriti Sanon spoke openly on the topic of nepotism in the Indian film industry at the screening of her first produced film ‘Dupati’ at the 55th International Film Festival of India.
The National Award-winning actress said that it is not the industry that is more responsible for nepotism, but the media and the audience. She explained that the audience is more interested in star kids, due to which filmmakers also prefer to make films with them.
Talking about her journey of struggle to make a name for herself in the film world, Kriti said that it took her time to make a place in the industry because her family was not related to the film industry.
She said that it was difficult to get magazine covers and big opportunities in the initial days, but with continuous hard work and dedication, success is possible.
Kriti further said that if someone has the talent, he can make his place in the industry. She stressed that if even the star kids fail to connect with the audience, then their success is not possible.
It may be recalled that Kriti Sanon made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Heropanti’ and recently she has also started her journey as a producer with the film ‘Dupati’ in which she and Kajol are playing the lead roles.
