Pakistan’s Faiqa Riaz, who participated in the Paris Olympics, was eliminated from the women’s 100m race.
25-year-old Faiqa Riaz, the national women’s champion with a wild card entry approved by the World Athletics Federation, failed in the heat competition of the preliminary round.
Faiqa Riaz, who set a new national record of 11.70 seconds at the National Athletics Championship, finished sixth out of nine athletes, covering the distance in 12.49 seconds.
Earlier in the Olympics, Pakistani swimmers Jahan Ara Nabi and Ahmed Durrani could not show any remarkable performance.
