Multan: Pakistan’s largest oil refinery Parko has been closed for 38 days.
According to sources, Oil Refinery Parco has been shut down for 38 days from today due to maintenance, Parco Refinery will remain closed from October 10 to November 18.
According to sources, the daily refining capacity of Parco Oil Refinery is around 120,000 barrels. Due to the closure of Parco, instructions have been issued to other refineries to increase their capacity. The refinery plays an important role in meeting the country’s energy needs.
Sources say that the 26-day storage capacity will be used to meet the country’s needs. Private company Descon was awarded the maintenance contract, while Parco Oil Refinery meets 35-40 percent of the country’s needs. Full testing, repairs and upgrades will be done.
