Peshawar: Pakistan carried out an operation on suspected bases of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) inside Afghanistan, where a terrorist training center and terrorists were also targeted.
According to a report by the foreign news agency AP, security officials said on condition of anonymity that the operation was carried out in the mountainous areas of the Afghan province of Paktika, which borders Pakistan.
The report said that it is not clear whether Pakistani warplanes went inside Afghanistan and carried out the operation and how the operation was launched.
The Pakistan Army has not issued any statement on the incident, however, this is the second such attack on the bases of the banned TTP by Pakistan after the current bus march, when Pakistan had said that the operation was carried out inside Afghanistan based on intelligence.
It should be noted that last week, 16 soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack on a Pakistani military post on the border with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the outlawed TTP claimed responsibility.
