DHAKA, BANGLADESH: A Pakistani trade delegation led by the FPCCI President visited Bangladesh after 12 years, where emphasis was placed on increasing bilateral economic ties and investment.
According to a statement issued by the FPCCI, the Pakistani trade delegation led by President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh met Bangladesh Commerce Minister Sheikh Bashiruddin and the Pakistani delegation stressed on increasing economic ties and investment between the two brotherly countries.
President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh said that this is the beginning of a new era, we will stand with Bangladesh at every opportunity of trial, the Bangladeshi Commerce Minister has announced to prioritize trade relations with Pakistan.
Senior Vice President FPCCI Saqib Fayyaz Mago said that we welcome the relaxation of visa conditions for Pakistanis by Bangladesh, and long-term visas should be given to the Pakistani business community.
He said that Pakistan has also relaxed visa requirements for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Commerce Minister Sheikh Bashiruddin said that they will work with Pakistan to explore economic, financial, investment, industrial, business and trade opportunities.
Speaking about the meeting with the Pakistani delegation, he said that it has been agreed to increase mutual trade and Pakistani companies will be encouraged.
Pakistani High Commissioner to Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maroof attended the meeting with special participation.
