Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Professor Mukhtar Ahmed and President of the Council of Higher Education Turkey Professor Erol Ozvar discussed the prospects of academic and research cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries during their meeting.
The two sides agreed to develop a roadmap to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions of the brotherly countries.
A press release issued by the HEC said that during the meeting, the two leaders discussed various areas of potential cooperation, including academic and research exchange initiatives, leadership development and community-focused projects to promote sustainable development in the educational environment.
The sides stressed the need for measures such as facilitating the mobility of faculty and students in universities on both sides, developing a consortium of universities to enhance academic and research cooperation, and developing a framework for joint research programs on emerging issues in Pakistan and Turkey.
