Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is a safe country for all religions.
In a message on the occasion of the World Week for Interfaith Harmony, the Prime Minister said that today we are celebrating the Week of Interfaith Harmony together with the international community.
He said that we believe in social harmony and upholding values, Islam commands justice, mercy and respect for creatures, extremism and divisive rhetoric are a threat to the social fabric.
He said that the world is facing the growing challenges of intolerance and division, it is necessary to reiterate our collective commitment to peace and unity, he said that citizens should play their role in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood.
People should be encouraged to adopt the values of mutual tolerance and cooperation, we are committed to promoting an environment of tolerance and mutual respect, we respond together to those who spread fear and division.
He said that we respond to those who sow the seeds of hatred with dialogue. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appealed that religious scholars, community leaders and citizens should play a positive role in society.
