Pakistan football team lost to play a friendly match against a big rival like Russia due to the negligence of the federation.
Negotiations for a possible friendly match between Russia and Pakistan started in October, but due to the lack of interest of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), the talks could not go ahead.
Pakistan, which is at 195 in the world ranking, had the opportunity to play against the 34th ranked team Russia and the players could learn, but the gulf deprived the football team.
According to sources, Russia had offered Pakistan to play a friendly match in the October FIFA international window, with all expenses to be borne by the Russian Football Federation.
The date of October 11 was proposed for this match in Russia, but Pakistan Football Federation did not accept this offer citing insufficient time for preparation.
The last contact between the two federations was at the end of September and since then the chances of a match in November have almost disappeared.
