The PCB has received a special exemption from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to complete the decoration and decoration work at the Gaddafi Stadium and the National Stadium in Karachi.
Normally, the International Cricket Council (ICC) takes control of the venues before the start of any of its tournaments, but in relation to the Champions Trophy, the cricket body has given additional time to the PCB to finalize the arrangements.
This support period of the ICC for the host Champions Trophy will start from February 12 before the event, however, before its own event, the ICC has allowed the PCB to organize a tri-nation series here, which will start from February 8.
This series with New Zealand and South Africa was earlier scheduled in Multan, but the PCB shifted it to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and the National Stadium in Karachi.
Pakistan wants to thoroughly inspect both these venues before the Champions Trophy, so the ICC has given a special exemption and allowed the PCB to hold matches during its support period.
On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a video regarding the upgradation of the Gaddafi Stadium, which shocked the Indian media and their board.
Earlier, the Indian media was continuously spreading negative news regarding the upgradation of stadiums, saying that if the renovation of the stadium is not completed, the ICC may shift the tournament, while the board is not allowing journalists to go to the stadium due to the slow development work at the National Stadium, Karachi, and the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
